Academic Activity
They'll love this one! You can do it with or without the color code. (You'll need it only if you do it with pom poms)
We'll be working on the numbers 6-9, so you'll need 4 recycled bottles.
Write numbers 6,7,8 and 9 on different bottles, select an object of you or your child's choice that fits into the bottles, then have your child count as they put in the amount in each one.

U is for Umbrella
 Cut out an umbrella outline on black construction paper and set it down on the sticky side of some contact paper(you can also use clear tape) Have your child fill in the insides with tissue or construction paper squares.  Then add the umbrella handle (you can use a pipe cleaner or black paper for that)
We've got five fun letter U crafts!

  • Small storage container
  • 2 lbs or so of rice
  • Construction paper
  • Playing cards (you can make these yourself)
