Children learn so much as they enjoy music, cook together, explore food and cooking, build together, create art, and celebrate with their families! The importance of this week is how we recognise the community and giving hope to our children during what are uneasy times. We look forward to see the social media about your celebration. Get inspire by the activities below! Love, Ms. Ale!
Music Monday: Make and play instruments
For this day we need music instruments, so let's get creative and make our recycling musical instruments. You can make a simple shaker, put dried beans between two paper plates and staple the plates together or find rhythm sticks outdoors. Use pan lids as cymbals, and march around the house. Try a slow march first, then a faster one. Take turns copying patterns in your favorite music, and then create your own.

Tasty Tuesday: Pizza Toast!
The challenge is integrating them in a way that is helpful. Invite your child to help you make their own pizza. Offer choices such as tomato sauce, cheese, olives, and red peppers, and let her spoon up as much or as little as she chooses. Be open to the pizza as a process rather than an end product.
Ingredients
· 1 slices soft bread
· 1 tablespoons prepared pizza sauce
· 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese per toast
· mini pepperonis, ham or any topping you want to use.
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
2. Spray a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray and space the bread slices out on it. Bake the bread slices for 5 minutes until just starting to toast.
Remove toasted bread from oven and spread each slice with 1 tablespoon pizza sauce, sprinkle with ¼ cup shredded mozzarella cheese and garnish with the toppings of your choice. Return to oven for 8-10 minutes or until cheese is melted.Work Together Wednesday: Pretend Play
Bring the spirit of learning centers into your home. This center we call : Pretend Play. where the child is going to be able to pretend to be something or something. Fill a box with clothes such as dresses, shirts, and suit jackets. Add accessories like hats, scarves, neckties, bags, and jewelry to make children’s pretend play more exciting and elaborate. You could create separate prop boxes for different play themes—for example, a small briefcase, notebooks, paper, and pens for a prop box related to office play. Let the children's interests and imaginations guide their selection of clothes and props.
Artsy Thursday: Creating Happy Memories
The fact that you’re supporting your child’s creativity and spending time together is important. One of the most important benefits is for children and parents spent time together. Use interesting materials, smiles, laughs, and some silliness keep kids engaged. Not only will this lead to cognitive benefits, but also bonding time with parents.
Family Friday: Fun Exploring!
Children are natural explorers. Children use all of their senses to explore. They look and listen to observe what is happening around them, touch what they can reach, smell the fresh scents of nature, and occasionally taste when given permission. They run, jump, dig, and climb as they discover new places. You can go outside and explore or you can also get into this web page and get a day in any park you want virtually.
